Q. Ok ladies I need help! I'm so sick of seeing my baby girl so miserable. She's almost 7 weeks and for the past 3 she's been so gassy and colicky and will go days without pooping. I breastfeed and supplement. I've changed formulas, I watch what I eat, I burp often when feeding, I've tried gas drops, gripe water, prune juice, like everything I can think of and everything doctor has suggested... nothing has worked.. what do I do??

Maybe some massage and leg pumping as well as a bath?

@ I remember my first was like that. I exclusively bf her and she wouldn't poop for days. The pediatrician said its normal for bf babies to be like that.

I'd try eliminating all dairy from your diet, literally all of it and switch to a non dairy formula to supplement with and see if that helps. It will take a few days to show any improvement.

@ I agree.
You seem to be trying everything else...

Also! Colic and gas are at its peak between 6-8 weeks, so be patient and just keep her comfortable

My middle son was like this. And it ended up being because he needed one or the other. Either breastfeed or formula. The switching was causing him to be confused and he would stop pooping and be the most fussiest thing I ever seen. Finally I gave up the formula, upped my milk supply, and strictly breastfed. Problem solved. Maybe that could be the same for you. Good luck.

@ my mom was just telling me the same thing.. that I should pick one and stick to that and see if that fixes it.. I'm gonna see if it's the dairy too thanks ladies

@ I ditto this. My 2nd son was just like that. But for me...I ultimately picked formula because my breastfeeding was getting him skim milk lol....I didn't know my milk didn't have enough fat in it....so formula changed the game!
